When I was struggling to find my place in school, college or life in general, I wished someone told me that loving myself for who I am is enough. There is no need to fit a square peg into a round hole – everybody is different and we need to accept ourselves and grow ourselves to be who we were meant to be.
Now as an older adult, I realised that self-care and self-love are not just important, they are pivotal if we want an awesome life. Regardless of where you are in life, remember that you only have this self to live with – make yourself a priority.
Just a quick tip for those of you who are always on the go, you can get inspirational affirmations cards which you can bring anywhere and use them to complement your self-care routine.
